Our Forensic Infidelity Test
is a two-step test that can detect
the presence of DNA (e.g., from semen or vaginal fluids) on a forensic sample and then
(if desired) compare this DNA to the DNA on a comparison sample.
Examples of forensic samples include,
but are not limited to:
-
Dried
stains on underwear, sheets, pads, tampons
-
Dried
semen stains on tissue, underwear, clothing
Don't see the sample type used like to submit?
Contact us and ask about it. If you
can collect it, chances
are we can test it.
Comparison samples can be swabs, hair, or
forensic samples.

For example, if you suspect your partner
is being unfaithful, you can send in a pair of his or her underwear
to test for the presence of another person's genetic material (e.g., from semen or
vaginal fluids), and compare this to your DNA profile. If genetic material is present, you can find out
if it are yours using a DNA comparison.
Or let's say you
suspect that the genetic material may be your friend's. You can submit a forensic
sample from your friend
(e.g., a used
toothbrush, etc.) to see
if the genetic material is your
friend's.
Step 1: DNA Profiling
| DNA Profiling will detect the
presence of genetic material and, if present,
will generate a DNA profile. This profile
will tell you if DNA from more than one
individual was found and if more than one
individual is male.
For example, we detect and generate a
mixed DNA profile from your sample (i.e., there is DNA from more
than one male).
If no genetic material is found, no DNA
profile is generated. DNA comparison is not necessary and you
will only be charged for DNA profiling and not DNA comparison.
Sample Types:
- any material you suspect may contain
semen or vaginal fluids (e.g., underwear, sheets, blankets,
clothing, used condom, etc.)

|
Step 2: DNA Comparison
| If a DNA profile
is generated, we can compare this profile to the
DNA profile of another sample.
For example, you wish to know whose
semen was present in your partner's underwear so you submit a sample
with your DNA (e.g., your hair). We compare your DNA profile
with that of the semen's to see if the semen is yours. Or we can
compare the DNA profile to the DNA profile generated by your
friend's toothbrush to see if the semen is his.
